LG G8X ThinQ Review: A Quirky Take On Foldable Phones

There existed a time when LG was contested to be the maker of the best smartphones out there. Packing powerful hardware in impeccable designs, the LG flagships would go head-to-head with the iPhones and the Samsungs out there. Unfortunately, even though LG makes some really good hardware to date, the brand has lost its touch. In what was another attempt at regaining momentum, the LG G8X ThinQ was launched in India to capitalize on the growing buzz on foldable phones.

No, the LG G8X is nowhere near the Samsung Galaxy Fold in terms of design or functionality. Its claim to fame is the flip cover that LG bundles with the phone. But unlike a regular flip cover, the cover houses a secondary display that expands the canvas of the smartphone.
Even without the cover, the LG G8X seems to be an interesting device that’s priced quite competitively. But is it good enough to win a recommendation over phones from OEMs like Samsung, OnePlus and ASUS? Well, let’s find out in our full review of it.
